Dr Chris invited to lead Microsoft Workshop: Everyone is a Maths genius; can computer science/technology prove it?

Dr Chris Imafidon – is one of the “World’s foremost scholars on leveraging informatics for learning and exceptional achievement has been invited to the Microsoft Head Office to lead a workshop on Thursday 24th November. This workshop will discuss how computer science/technology exposed the myths of natural Intelligence, genes, gender, IQ, age, background, post-code.

 

Christmas holidays 2011

Do you want to know the QUICKEST, SHORTEST, and MOST EFFICIENT WAY of getting TOP grades? Then this Session's for you! Traditionally Christmas time is Holiday time and rightly so, but if you have exams in January, February or March, Christmas time is REVISION time! That's why EIE is holding the 'Annual Christmas Revision' Sessions, specifically dedicated to getting the TOP Marks in the exams in January to March, in our EIE Venue from Monday 19th December.

 

Time: 10am - 4pm

Date: Monday 19th - Thursday 22nd December

 

Grade Booster! (Half-Term Revision classes)

Excellence in Education will, due to popular demand from parents, pupils and teachers, be running their annual half-term revision sessions. They will be held from Monday 24th October to Friday 28th October. This should be of particular interest to students in years 5, 6, 10,  11 and year 12, as well as any other person that has any immeadiate exams. Those that want to catch up with school work, has found previous sessions very helpful also. Please email them at info@excellenceineducation.org.uk to confirm your place.

How to get to the Best school

Last year over a quarter of parents and pupils lost out in getting their first preference of schools, therefore our close partners the 'Excellence in Education' charity, have planned a detailed seminar to answer all relevant questions relating to this. It is taking place on Saturday 15th October. Email them at info@excellenceineducation.org.uk and with '11plus seminar' as the email subject and state in the email your name and who you will be bringing, to confirm your seat. University of Oxford Open Day 2011! - Final Reminder

The University of Oxford open day will be on Friday 16th September 2011. All inner city students are encouraged to book in advance to attend. Free lunch will be provided for all on the day. 

Congratulations 6-year-old Deborah Thorpe for being the youngest GCSE pass this year!

Congratulations to 6-year-old Deborah Thorpe, that passed her GCSE maths exam through the help of her mentor, Paula Imafidon. Paula is delighted to have helped such a bright little girl and is glad her help went on to achieve great things.

She wishes Deborah all the best and is looking forward to her next challenge.

Nothing to do this half-term? Here is our simple solution....

Stressed about summer exams? Need help with revision? No need to panic, we would recommend attending Excellence in Education's annual half-term sessions where you will discover the secrets of exam success! The sessions will start frm Tuesday 31st May to Friday 3rd June from 10am to 4pm. It is being held at their Ilford venue. Please not thatyour child will not be able to leave the centre during the day so therefore a PACKED lunch is essential.
